Mission in the Mountains: The Sequel
Plans are in full swing for our return to Pikeville, Tennessee for Mission in the Mountains: The Sequel, Oct. 14-16, 2005.
Last year we had an awesome experience, seeing 13 people saved! Praise the Lord! Pastor Mark Olson says New Life Church has seen lots of growth since our visit and is anxiously awaiting our return.
Deposits Due: Students should have their $20 deposit in for the trip by Sept. 6 (a balance of $55 is due Sept. 19).
First Baptist, Dayton (near Pikeville and the mother church of New Life), once again is graciously allowing us to use their facility for lodging.
We'll be leaving First Redeemer late afternoon on Friday, Oct. 14, have dinner en route, and arrive in Dayton that evening. We're planning a brief worship celebration time once we arrive.
Saturday morning we'll set up a large tent and games for the block party that afternoon before we go out and canvass the neighborhood handing out invitations to the block party and doing random acts of Christian kindness.
Following the block party that afternoon, we'll return to FBC, Dayton, for a worship celebration and recreation!
Sunday morning we'll load up, worship at New Life, then head home!
So far we have 22 students signed up! I'll share more details as I get them. --Tim
